A Spiritual Community Open & Welcoming To Everyone

Our Spiritual Community

MCC Toronto is a different kind of faith community that welcomes people of all different backgrounds and beliefs. Our weekly Worship Services are vibrant, inclusive, and progressive, whether you attend in person or watch online.

MCC Toronto was founded as an LGBTQ2+ Christian Church but has grown into a spiritual community composed of people with many different backgrounds and beliefs, each seeking to grow spiritually and committed to uniting in the fight for and to protect Human Rights for all.

MCC Toronto is known and celebrated for its vibrant Music Ministry. Music permeates all aspects of the work we do – both inside our walls and beyond.

Award-winning and revered, The Choir of MCC Toronto boasts an eclectic and electric group of talented singers whose love of music brings them together for our 11 AM Celebration Service each week for the pure enjoyment of all.

Under the leadership of Music Director Jason Jestadt, The Choir of MCC Toronto incorporates all music styles (from traditional to pop, to soul) and is supported each week by a who’s who of guest performers representing some of our city’s biggest musical talents.

Beyond their weekly participation at our 11 AM Service, The Choir also figures prominently at MCC Toronto’s annual Church on Church (Pride) Service and Christmas Eve Service at Roy Thomson Hall, as well as at other events throughout the year.

The Choir of MCC Toronto is also a popular and respected community mainstay. Through its long history, MCC Toronto has been proud and honoured to be featured performers at The Olympic Torch Relay, World Pride Opening Ceremony, the Celebration of Life for Jack Layton, community vigils after critical incidents, among many others.

The Choir of MCC Toronto has recorded 3 CDs: House of Love (featuring Louise Pitre); The Choir: Connected (with Thom Allison, Alana Bridgewater and Julie Michels) and These Old Walls (featuring Stephanie Martin).
