Proud Voices
Monthly, last Friday of the month 7-8 PM
June 28
Please mark your calendars to join us for what promises to be an evening full of engaging conversation and community!
We invite you to join us on July 28 at 7 PM on Zoom for the Proud Voices speaker series, bringing together influential queer leaders from various fields for insightful interviews and engaging Q&A sessions at the intersection of queerness, faith, and education.
Our guest on July 28 will be Rev. Heather Morgan (she/her), an emerging crip theologian who has spent over twenty years working in activism, advocacy, and support for those with disabilities. In addition to recently completing her MDiv, Heather was ordained in 2022 and is a Pastor at Vox Community Church in Barrie. Her pioneering work in developing coaching strategies for neurodivergent people and trauma survivors is highlighted in the book “Unmasking” by Devon Price. Heather has also published numerous articles in the Canadian Journal for Mental Health, Disability, and Theology and has contributed a chapter on a forthcoming book on Pregnancy and Theology that will be published by SCM Press early next year. After a summer caring for her new grandchild, she will return to Emmanuel College at the U of T in September to begin her PhD.
