Stewardship:
Putting Your Gifts into Action
At MCC Toronto, our work is supported by donations from
the congregation. People just like you! People from all parts of
society, from all income ranges.
Donations help care for the thousands of
people that come to
MCC Toronto each month and to reach out to those who have not
yet found our church home. If we meet our need we will also be
able to realize some of the dreams shared by the congregation.
What is a Pledge?
Your pledge is an indication of how much you plan to give the church
in a given year. You may change or cancel your pledge
at any time. If
you pledge, giving statements will be mailed to
you quarterly so you
may track your donations.
How Much Should I Pledge?
We are asking everyone to consider tithing on their annual income. God
gives us 100% of what we have. Tithing is the biblical example of
keeping 90% of what we have and giving 10% back to God so this
ministry can make a difference in someone's life.
How Can I Give?
You may make donations to MCC Toronto by cash, cheque, post dated
cheque, VISA, MasterCard, American Express or by E-Giving (see info in
right column). You may also designate all or part of your United Way
pledge, made through you place of employment, to
MCC Toronto. For info
on United Way pledging, contact Jennifer O'Connor
at (416) 406-6228 ext 111 or

You can make your
donation to the Church
more convenient through
Sustained-Giving
(also known as E-Giving)
What is
Sustained-Giving?
This is merely giving your gifts
through electronic banking means
like automatic bank account or credit
card deductions. You can pick the frequency of the automatic
deductions ranging from weekly, monthly to
quarterly. It is private, safe
and secure.
How do I set it up?
Contact our Manager of
Funds Development, Nanette Sanson
(416) 406-6228 ext 111
who will take care of it for you.
What are the
advantages of e-giving?
You won't have to worry about cash
or loose change when the plate
gets passed around during
each Sunday Service.
You get your air miles or reward points through certain bank account
or
credit card deductions!
You don't have to worry about missing your contribution when you
cannot
attend Sunday Service.
The church gets your constant and steady support to provide
the spiritual sanctuary for all, and carry out the wonderful
programs that it offers.
It cuts down on administrative work
for the staff and enables them to
put more energy into improving
other areas in the church.
'But I feel strange not physically
putting something into the plate
on Sundays if I'm on E-Giving'…
There are E-giving indicator cards
found in the pews that you can
put into the plate, just so you
won't feel out of place (which
is very common when anyone
first starts on this plan).
So come join many in the
congregation that have
already signed up!
